Zareen Mahmud Hosein is the Chairman of SMAC HRS LTD. and the Founding Partner at Snehasish Mahmud & Co, Chartered Accountants. Ms. Hosein has BA in Economics from Smith College and a MPA in Public Finance from New York University in USA. In 2007, Ms. Hosein is a Certified Public Accountant from the Delaware Board of Accountancy from the USA. She is a Fellow Chartered Accountant of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh in 2010.
Ms. Hosein has started her career in New York where she worked as a Senior Associate at KPMG LLP in the Corporate Tax Division. She has served as a Supervising Analyst at the New York City Mayor’s Office of Management and Budget. She was also a Consultant for the United Nations Capital Development Fund (UNCDF) in New York.
In Bangladesh, Ms. Hosein was a Manager of Audit & Consulting at ACNABIN Chartered Accountants. She also served as a Financial Management Consultant for the World Bank in Bangladesh. Ms. Hosein was also the Vice President, Finance at Newton International, which is a start-up training and education organization where she helped set up business. She has experience in audit and consulting services for multinational companies, International NGOs and development organizations.
Sukanta Bhattacharjee is the Managing Director of SMAC HRS LTD. and a Partner at Snehasish Mahmud & Co, Chartered Accountants. He has experience in internal audit, statutory audit, management audit, tax and consulting services for local and multinational companies, manufacturing, banking and financial sectors as well as in NGOs.
Mr. Bhattacharjee did his MBA in Accounting and Information System from University of Chittagong in 2005. He completed his articleship from Rahman Rahman Huq, a member firm of KPMG. Where he served as a Senior Supervisor at Rahman Rahman Huq.
In 2012, Mr. Bhattacharjee qualified himself as a Chartered Accountant from ICAB. Mr. Bhattacharjee joined as a Director at Snehasish Mahmud & Co. in 2015. Prior to joining as a Director, he served as the Head of Internal Audit at BRAC, an International NGO from 2014 to 2015, a conglomerate of Bangladesh. In 2011, he joined as a Deputy General Manager at BRAC and was promoted to General Manager in 2012.
Snehasish Barua is the Director of SMAC HRS LTD. and the Founding Partner at Snehasish Mahmud & Co, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Barua has completed his article ship from Rahman Rahman Huq, a member of the KPMG International Cooperative. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh (ICAB) in 2005. Mr. Barua has obtained qualifications from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) in 2013.
Mr. Barua began his career as an Assistant Manager at Rahman Rahman Huq. Later on, he served as a Senior Manager. Mr. Barua was also a partner at Syful Shamsul Alam & Co. which is a member firm of UHY International. Besides, he worked as a Manager of Internal Audit Team in the telecom companies like TMIB and Grameenphone. He has experience in audit, tax and consulting services for multinational companies, large manufacturers and banking and financial institutions including the Central Bank (Bangladesh Bank).
Mr. Barua is a member of the Faculty of ICAB. Where he tutors the ICAEW advanced stage classes in Bangladesh. He provides training services to professionals from different sectors on financial reporting and corporate governance including Bangladesh Bank and National Board of Revenue staff. Previously, Mr. Barua has conducted such training sessions for ICAB members and students. Therefore, he is also a trainer at the Dhaka Stock Exchange Training Academy.
In addition, he has substantial experience working with multinational companies, focusing on salary tax optimization, perquisite tax management, payroll budgeting as per cost center, and guidance for tax-effective salary components based on the Income Tax Act, 2023, and the Bangladesh Labor Law Act, 2006.
He has completed his BBS and MBS under the National University. He began his professional journey in payroll processing with Snehasish Mahmud & Co., Chartered Accountants, where he gained nearly 8 years of experience. For the past 2 years, he has been leveraging his expertise to deliver client-focused solutions at SMAC HRS Ltd., a concern of SMAC.
Prior, he worked with Snehasish Mahmud & Co., Chartered Accountants, gaining 3 years of experience. Over the past 2 years, he has been contributing his skills to provide tailored client solutions under SMAC HRS Limited, a concern of SMAC.
He has acquired his BBA in Finance from National University and MBA in Finance & FinTech from United International University (UIU). Furthermore, he has earned a Master’s degree in Human Resource Development and Industrial Relations (HRDIR) from Jahangirnagar University (JU).
She also maintains payroll compliance reporting. Additionally, she is actively involved in headhunting assignments, contributing to recruitment efforts for various clients.
She has completed a BBA in Accounting and Finance from American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP).
He is also responsible for generating payroll-related reports utilizing in-house software, ensuring compliance statements, and reporting in accordance with the Income Tax Act, 2023. He also has an understanding of the Bangladesh Labor Act, 2006.
He has a BBA in Finance from National University. Additionally, he has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in HRM (PGDHRM) from the Academy of Business Professionals (ABP). This diploma is awarded by Edupro, UK, and endorsed by the CPD Certification Service, UK.
